How to play Badland
BADLAND is an atmospheric side-scrolling action adventure set in a dark but beautiful forest. You control a small fluffy creature using one control, tapping or clicking to flap upward while it drifts forward. The forest is full of traps, moving machines and other creatures, and the screen pushes you along so you cannot stop and think.
Along the way you can pick up power-ups that change your size, speed or even clone you into a small flock. Keeping more clones alive through a section is part of the challenge.
Tips for Badland
- Use short taps for small adjustments and longer holds only when you need to climb. Spamming taps makes you rise too fast and hit the ceiling.
- Watch the background machinery. Many hazards move on a rhythm you can learn.
- Do not rush to keep up with the screen. Surviving with fewer clones is better than losing all of them.
- Pick up clones when it is safe, but do not take risks for one extra clone early in a level.
