How to play Cut the Rope 2
Cut the Rope 2 continues the candy-feeding puzzle with a new look and some new mechanics. The basic move is the same: swipe to cut ropes and drop the candy into Om Nom's mouth, collecting stars along the way. The sequel adds new characters and fresh level elements, so old habits from the first game only get you partway.
Levels reward patience. Many can be solved several ways, but getting all three stars usually needs one specific order of cuts.
Tips for Cut the Rope 2
- Learn what each new gadget does on the first level it appears. They are introduced in easy levels on purpose.
- Go for the stars in the order they are reachable, not the order they look nearest.
- Do not rush the swipe. A clean, quick swipe cuts exactly one rope, while a sloppy one can cut two.
- If you are replaying for three stars, ignore the monster until you have collected the third star.
